Almost 6 decades ago, in 1962, on the bank of Ganges in Nabadwip, the Birth place Lord Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The journey started of Mistanna Bhaban.
Mr. Ramkrishna Ghosh, the face of the organisation, came to the town from Dhaka, East Bengal with his elder brother. It was a real tough time for the young man. At the age of 13, he started to sell Rasogolla & Paratha huckstery in Nabadwip which was made by his aunt. But his strong willpower and steadiness always kept him to move ahead. After a few years of initial struggle, he established a small sweet shop with the help of a kind-hearted person Mr Haridas Saha who gave his shop to Mr Ramakrishna Ghosh to start a sweet shop. He willingly settled the price of the shop in exchange of sweets that Mr Ramakrishna Ghosh made. Mr Ramakrishna Ghosh got full support from his family. Few years later his elder brother Mr. Dulal Chandra Ghosh also joined him in the business.
To begin with he was searching for a proper name that would both complement quality and brand recall. He kept on trying hard till he met Mr Amarendra Nath Chakravarty who was the son of Great spiritual leader Thakur Shri Anukul Chandra, gave the name “Mistanna Bhaban”. Mr Ramakrishna Ghosh made the best quality sweets all throughout his life and never compromised on quality.
Today, Mistanna Bhaban delivers over 100 plus varieties of delicacies prepared in the unit, supervised by experts with years of experience. The production team, develop newer varieties of sweets based on customers preferences. Which has made us to add a new dimension to the ever-popular spread. Our customers are fond of the best quality Red Kheer Curd or called ‘Chakku Doi’ across the State & adjacent states.
It has turned out to be one of the fascinating sweet shops in West Bengal.
